Maria C. (Pagliarulo Tritta) Kannar, 93, of Natick died Monday September 22, 2014 at the Mary Ann Morse Home in Natick. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Kannar.
Born in Putignano, Italy, Maria was the daughter of the late Francesco Pagliarulo and Vera (Sannicandro Pagliarulo) Calzini.
Maria was formerly employed by the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham.
Maria was a longtime member of the Natick Sons of Italy, enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family, who she dearly loved. She enjoyed traveling and dining out with her longtime companion Walter Slatkavitz.
Maria is survived by her son Nicola “Nick” Tritta and his wife Robin, of Boston, and her daughter Enza Cominotti and her husband Piero, of Milan, Italy. She is also survived by her brother Michael (Aldo) Pagliarulo of Ashland, her sister Licia Lee of Perry, FL, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Maria is also survived by Walter Slatkavitz, her dear friend for over 28 years.
Maria was also the mother of the late Ferruccio Tritta, and sister of the late Franca Gustin and Joseph Pagliarulo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday September 26 at 11:00 A.M. in St Patrick Church in Natick. Visiting hours in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common are on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 A.M. prior to the Mass.
Interment at Dell Park Cemetery.
