Laconia-----Irene Patten, 90, of 45 Sanborn Street, died at her home on Monday, September 22, 2014.
Mrs. Patten was born April 4, 1924 in Laconia, N.H., the daughter of the late Edlaw and Avila (Gilbert) Carrigan. She was a longtime resident of Laconia and had been employed at the Lakes Region General Hospital for over twenty-seven years.
Survivors include her son, Lawrence “James” Ryan and his wife, Tammy, of Laconia; three daughters, Jeannie Day and her husband Norm of Laconia, Judy Ryan of Laconia and Sandra LaPierre and her husband, Roger, of Laconia, nine grandchildren; Tammy Howe, Mike Swormstedt, Jimmy Swormstedt, Kelli Keenan, Jeff Deforge, Gina Roy, Sara Laramie, Cody Ryan and Travis Ryan, 15 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and her sister, Jane Noyes of Belmont, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patten was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Swormstedt, in April, 2010, by her brother, Arthur Carrigan, and by two sisters, Jeannette Baron and Regina Gordon.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5PM to 8PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10AM, also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.
