Kenneth A. Gendron, 78, of Derry, NH died Friday September 19, 2014 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Mr. Gendron was born in Lawrence, MA on October 11, 1935, a son of the late Albert and Rita (Desrosiers) Gendron. He was raised and educated in Methuen, MA and lived at 21 Groton Street in Lawrence, MA for more than 30 years. Mr. Gendron was employed as a truck driver for Table Talk, Nissan and later Drakes Bakeries. He had resided in Derry for the past 15 years, wintering and vacationing in North Carolina. Following his retirement, he worked for Malden Mills in Methuen and Shaw’s Supermarket in Derry. He was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Lawrence and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine D. (Masse) Gendron of Derry, two daughters, Cheryl Papanikolaou and her husband Stamos of Dover, NH, and Donna Levesque and her husband Albert M. of Derry, one son, Glenn Gendron and his wife Dana of Methuen, three grandchildren, John Kenneth Saluski, Patrick Gendron and Kailey Gendron. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Private memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is assisting the family.
