Betty Baird Bulmer, 86, of Tifton died Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Benji Varnell officiating. Mrs. Bulmer will be laid to rest at Westview Cemetery in Moultrie. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Trevor Bulmer, Jacob Bulmer, Lonnie Lewis, Harvey Kendrick, Skipper Varnadoe and Nick Varnadoe will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Bulmer was born June 12, 1928 in Colquitt County and was the daughter of Eugene Baird, Jr. and Lois Sineath Baird, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harry Bulmer, Sr. She retired from Harper-McCall Insurance Company and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Moultrie. She was also a member of the Elks Auxiliary in Tifton and loved Atlanta Braves baseball and playing golf.
Mrs. Bulmer is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Bulmer, Jr. of Tifton, Jim and Donna Bulmer of Lawrenceville and Billy and Carol Bulmer of Decatur; two sisters, Sara Baird of Tifton and Ann Baird Varnadoe of Moultrie; six grandchildren, Ansley Bulmer, Laurie Bulmer, Trevor Bulmer, Jacob Bulmer, William Scott Bulmer and Sammy Bulmer; and three great-grandchildren, Sydney Rebstock, Ethan Rebstock and Charley Bulmer.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the Elks Aidmore Children's Home, 2394 Morrison Street SW, Conyers, GA 30094.
