William S. Campbell of Kensington, CT, beloved husband for 62 years of Elena (Renda) Campbell, went to the lord on Wednesday, September 17 after a long illness. Born in Hyde Park he was the son of the late Walter and Ruth (Safford) Campbell.

William proudly served in the U.S. Army's 9th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. He later worked for Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance Co. He was a member of the South Congregational Church in New Britain, CT, and was an avid stamp collector.

William was the loving brother of the late Carl Campbell and the late Alice Firth. He is survived by his wife Elena and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday, September 20 at 10:30 AM followed by a service in the First Congregational Church, 89 College Ave., Somerville at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 - 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
