Blume, Thomas J. Sr., longtime resident of Dedham, passed peacefully on September 16, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Maryann (Polcari) Blume. Loving father of Terri Blume Gordon and her husband Peter of Wareham, Thomas J. Blume Jr. and his wife Maureen of Walpole, Robert Blume and his wife Debbie of Dedham, and Richard Blume and his wife Erin of Dedham.
Devoted and adoring grandfather of David and Ali Gordon, Devyn, Jay, Summer, Sam, Grace, Ricky, and Nicole Blume.
Brother of Jack Blume of Great Barrington, MA, Ellen Samara of Stuart, FL, and the late Paul Blume. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tom worked at a business he loved, with his wife they were co-owners of TJ Blume & Sons. A member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4, for over 35 years. Tom’s devoted his life to his work and family.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. DEDHAM, Saturday at 10am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne Church, Readville at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4-8pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
