Obituary

Mrs. Mary P. (Lydon) Doyle, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, September 16 in the Life Care Center of Attleboro following a lengthy illness. She was the former spouse of the late Leo M. Doyle. She was born 72 years ago in Boston, the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Costello) Lydon. She was educated in Boston and had been a Mansfield resident for the past 45 years. Mary was formerly employed as an office worker for Walpole Woodworkers for 5 years. She was previously employed at the First Bristol County Savings Bank for 5 years. She was a member of the Attleboro Elks Emblem Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
She leaves: 1 son: John J. Doyle of Winchester; 1 daughter: Debra Bosworth and her husband, George of Taunton; 2 brothers: James Lydon of Plymouth, and John Lydon and his wife, Georgine of Rockland; 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Shannon, Patrick, Nicholas and Stephen Bosworth, and Devlin Doyle; 1 great grandson: Zachary Peirce, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was also the mother of the late Tammy J. Doyle and Leo P. Doyle, and the sister of the late Peter and William Lydon.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Saturday, September 20 at 8:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield, at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
