Henry Raymond, age 92, of Fall River, passed away Sep. 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Southpointe Nursing Center. Born in Fall River he was the husband of the late Josephine (Nizalowski) Raymond and son of the late Manuel and Mary (Perry) Raymond. Prior to retirement he worked as a talented cabinet maker for Harvey Prober Furniture for 34 years. Henry was a US Navy Veteran of WW II, having served on the USS Massachusetts. He served 1 year as Commander of the Military Order of the Cooties, was a member of the V.F.W. Post 486, American Legion Post 314, Am Vets Post 60 and the Elks Lodge 118. He also enjoyed playing bingo.
Henry was the loving father of Jo-Ann Maloney (husband Dennis J.) of Fall River and Henry Raymond Jr. (wife Linda) of Swansea; grandfather of Eric & Kyle Raymond and Shawn Maloney; great-grandfather of Sheridan & Alex Raymond and Mason Maloney. He was the brother of the late Mary Correira, Manuel Raymond, Evangeline Dennis, Jessie, John and Arthur Raymond.
His funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
