Obituary

Génécé, Eddy, age 68, of Leogane, Haiti died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Highgate in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Eddy graduated from the School of Medicine and Pharmacy in Port-Au-Prince Haiti and also obtained a Master degree in Community Health from the School of Tropical Medicine at the University of Liverpool in England. He practiced as a doctor in Haiti and founded the organization Promoteurs Objectifs Zerosida (POZ) in Haiti which served to provide education on HIV/AIDS, decrease new cases of HIV/AIDS and provide social services to the population living with the disease.

Eddy was the husband of Roselore Cazeau for 47 years. In addition to being a loving husband, he was also a wonderful brother, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his children: Marc-Aurel Génécé , Stinley Chery and wife Malorie, Jean-Bertrand Génécé, Miche-Karine Génécé and husband Vladimir, Jihanne Génécé (deceased), Graciella Génécé as well as two grandchildren, Thea Génécé and Benjamin Isidore. He is also survived by sisters, Joseline Saladin and husband Leveque, Lorvana Nozine and husband Joseph, Mona Lageurre and husband Winer; as well as brothers, Christian Elyse and wife Amicie, Lyonel Génécé and wife Elza.

A memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Morijah Evangelical Church; 21 Bruce Rd Waltham, Massachusetts 02453 at 11am.
