Billy E. Newman, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, September 15, 2014, Mr. Billy Eugene Newman, Sr., 77, loving husband to the late Judith L. Newman.
Mr. Newman retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 35 years. He often went by the nickname “Uncle Billy” and he loved to sing karaoke.
Family members include his son: Billy Newman, Jr. (Susie) of Hephzibah; daughters: Ann Field of Waynesboro, Tammy Roberts (Miles) of Martinez, Christina Crooks of Big Pine Key, FL; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Raymond Newman, Bobby Ray Newman; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth E. Newman.
A memorial service will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
