Rosalina R. “Rose” (Duarte Rocha) Broccoli, 80, of Fall River, died Monday September 15, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Duarte and Mary (Moniz Pontes) Rocha. She had lived in Fall River all her life and retired 18 years ago from the Stop & Shop Co., where she worked for many years. Mrs. Broccoli was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River and was communicant of St. Michael and St. Joseph Church, both in Fall River.
Besides her husband Albert J. Broccoli (formerly of Providence, RI) she leaves a daughter, Nancy A. Guilfoy (husband Frank M.) of Fall River, a sister Lydia (Rocha) DiBella of Cranston, RI, grandchildren, Alison Rose (Soares) Lurvey, Andrew Soares, Andrea (Almeida) Miller, Adam Almeida and Angela Almeida and great-grandchildren, Hannah Lurvey, Collin Booth and Benjamin Warner. She was also the mother of the late Michael Alfred Almeida (wife Susan).
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael Church at 9 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on FRIDAY from 4-8 P.M.
