Constance J. “Connie” (Fisichella) Johnson, age 74, of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Brockton, died August 28, 2014 in Florida. She was the wife of the late Howard F. Johnson. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Dorothy (Zizzo) Fisichella. Prior to moving to Brockton in 1994, she had been a resident of Chelsea. For several years she was employed at Market Basket in Chelsea, Gillette Manufacturing and retired from MIT. Following her retirement she and her husband moved to Zephyrhills, Florida. Connie loved to garden and her home in Brockton was known for the beautiful display of flowers in her yard. She was a member of the local Red Hat Society, communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and while living in Florida was a dedicated volunteer of the local Christmas charities.
Connie is survived by her son Erik Johnson and his wife Erin of Whitman; grandson EJ of Whitman; sister Dorothy Edlin of Iowa; twin sister Lucille Mastrogiacomo of Florida; close friend Jerry McClure of Florida and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Frances Willison and Frank and Anthony Fisichella.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday, September 25, 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday September 26 at 8am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to The Home For Little Wanderers, Development Dept., 271 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
