Obituary

Maryanne (Gross) Rainville-Barnes, 53, of Methuen and West Melbourne FL , passed away at her home in Methuen on Saturday after a courageous battle with breast cancer surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Methuen daughter of the late Theresa (Fawcett) and Albert Gross. Maryanne was raised and educated in Methuen graduating from Methuen High School and later earned an associates degree from Merrimack College . She worked at Gould Mordicon for 24 years and also owned Fay Salem Tire in Salem New Hampshire . Maryanne was a parishioner of Saint Lucy's Church in Methuen for many years and also a member of the Rocky Club among volunteering her time at the Bevard Zoo and Oyster Mat in Florida . In her free time she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, reading, animals, traveling, sightseeing, Florida, but most of all spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.

Maryanne is survived by her husband Lawrence E. Barnes III, children Meaghan Malloy and her husband John of Methuen, Meredith Rainville-Campbell and her husband Jason J. of Methuen, Michael L. Barnes of Methuen, sisters Ann Gross and John Hollins of Methuen, Susan Fanning of Tewksbury, Elizabeth Wright and her husband James of Hudson NH, brothers Stephen Gross of Methuen, Edward Gross of Methuen, Kenneth Gross of Methuen, grandchildren Jason J. Campbell Jr., Addison L. Campbell, Ethan W. Malloy, pre deceased by mother in law Mary T. Barnes and father in law Lawrence E. Barnes Jr. a niece Corey Griffin, sister and brother in laws Gail and Jack Pickles and Patti and Jim DeRoche, and two loving dogs Chyna and Allie.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday September 16th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen . A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday September 17th at 11 AM at Saint Lucy's Church in Methuen .
