Obituary

Audrey P. (Eakins) Sperandio, age 92, of Brockton, died September 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of John F. Sperandio for 65 years. Audrey was born and raised in Blakesburg, Iowa, daughter of the late Omer and Christina (Swaim) Eakins. She was a graduate of Blakesburg High School and Iowa Success Business School. Over the years she had been employed by Dennison Factory in Marlboro and Almys, Ames and Zayres Department stores in Brockton. Audrey was devoted to her family, and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a longtime member of the Miraculous Medal Organization and supported many other charities over the years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five children John Sperandio of Bangkok, Thailand, Robert of Dallas, TX, Mary of Brockton, Patricia Montanaro of Walpole and Thomas of Brockton; seven grandchildren John Jay, Robert, William, Katherine, Christopher and Joseph and John Montanaro, Three great grandchildren Sebastien, Lydia and Ethan Sperandio and a sister Vera Mae Goode of IL. She was the sister of the late Delores (Lamb) Woodard.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 9:30-10:30am followed by a funeral service at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
