Maria "Dottie" D. Larsh, 82, passed away on August 27, 2014 with her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" A. Larsh by her side. They were true life partners for the last fifty-six years. Dottie was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Manuel and Lucy (Sousa) Vieira. She lived in North Providence and Johnston, RI for many years until retirement when she and Bob moved to Bradenton, Florida. She was devoted to her children, especially to the care of their late daughter, Rosemary Larsh, until she passed in 1988. Dottie had a generous heart, a resilient spirit, a wry sense of humor and a unwavering Catholic faith. She was the lead singer in our lives and the joy in our laughter and we will miss her dearly, but think of her with a smile on our faces. Dottie is survived by her children Laurie-Ann Moody (Daniel) of Woodbridge, VA; Kenneth R. Larsh (Francine) of Port Charlotte, FL; Robert A. Larsh Jr. of Johnston, RI; grandchildren, Alicia Moody Peterson (Andy), Katie Larsh, Alex Moody, Daniel Larsh, Kendra Larsh and Jenna Larsh; great grandchildren, Savannah, Connor and Grayson Peterson and her brothers, Americo "Mackie" Vieira and Richard Vieira. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Manuel and Joseph Vieira.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield.
