New Bedford – Helena Lewis, age 82 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the loving wife of Joseph Lewis and the daughter of Helen (Bauer) and Albert Edward Buckles. She was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and worked as a Supervisor at E Rosen Company until her retirement.
Mrs. Lewis loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph, of New Bedford; 2 sons: Robert J. Lewis and his wife, Kathleen, of Plymouth, and Jay J. Lewis and his wife, Kayla, of New Bedford; 3 siblings: Grace Herbert and Albert Buckles, both of New Bedford, and Marjorie Ursini of Tiverton.
Helena is predeceased by 3 siblings: George Buckles, Robert Buckles and Edith Brunette.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Lewis was cremated. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth ST. in New Bedford.
