Janie Richards Maddox
Augusta, GA – Entered into eternal rest Monday, September 8, 2014, Janie Richards Maddox, 90, wife of the late Roy D. Maddox.
Mrs. Maddox was a member of Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church. She worked as a nursing assistant at Fort Gordon Pediatric Clinic for 25 years. Mrs. Maddox retired to devote her energy to her children and grandchildren as well as volunteering for various charities. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother as well as a generous and supportive aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Family members include daughter: Dianne Maddox Gay and husband Ray; son Ron Maddox and wife Greta; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son: Raymond Maddox; granddaughter: Melanie Maddox, brother: Clifford Richards; and sisters: Billie Sikes, Catherine Collins and Betty Fulmer.
A funeral service will be Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
