Dorothy R. (Kehew) Hayes, 85, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Lutheran Healthcare Center in Worcester. She leaves her husband of 58 years, Daniel F. Hayes; 2 daughters Donna R. Hayes and Doreen M. Hayes-Abbe and her partner George Earley of Worcester; a son David F. Hayes and his wife Laura Hayes of Springfield, VA; 5 grandchildren- Sarah, Matthew, Emily, and Michael Hayes and Hannah Abbe.
Dorothy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Charles and Sigrid (Michaelson) Kehew. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked at Commerce Bank and Norton Co.. Dorothy was a devoted Navy wife during her husband's 22 year Navy career and enjoyed big band music, dancing, candlepin bowling and her beloved pets. Dorothy lived in Florida for 13 years before returning to the area. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
