Preceded in death by parents Francis & Christine and sister Margaret Pearson. Survived by wife of 56 years, Lois; children Karen Reed (Todd), Douglas (Deb) and David (Sherri); grandchildren Nicole, Jenine, Danielle, Ryan, Leah, Parker, Sean and Lauren; great grandchildren Tyler, William, Jackson and Olivia; sisters Elizabeth Swanson (Terry) & Phyllis Strumpfer (Gary); brother-in-law Robert Pearson and many loving nieces and nephews. John was a POW in Santo Tomas Interment Camp, Philippine Islands during WWII and served in the US Naval Reserve during the Korean War. He was a man of many interests and hobbies. Service Tuesday (September 9) at 10:00 AM at FAITH ALLIANCE CHURCH, 520 North Howard Street, St. Paul. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation Monday 6:00- 9:00 pm at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St. Paul and one hour before the service at church on Tuesday. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers, to Faith Alliance Church. John's greatest desire was to serve the Lord. This was clearly evident in his love for people, life and his family.
