Ray A. Rivera 47, of Coe St died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Andrea (Mauricio) Rivera. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was a son of Reynaldo Rivera and the late Lucia Ortiz Gonzalez. Ray was a truck driver for Ryder Integrated Logistics. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woonsocket. Ray was a wonderful father, brother, and a great friend. He always went above and beyond to lend a hand regardless of the circumstances and loved to share God’s word to any who were willing to listen.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons; Melwin Perez Rivera and Tarique Mauricio both of Woonsocket, three daughters; Solmarie Rivera of Tampa, FL, Gabriella Rivera, and Teana Mauricio, both of Woonsocket, five sisters; Judith Rivera of Jersey City, NJ, Anita Torres, Angelique Ortiz, Aureliz DeJesus Ortiz, and Jesenia DeJesus Ortiz, all of Puerto Rico, and one grandchild Zolimar.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in North Smithfield. Visiting Hours are Sunday 2-5 PM.
