Worcester – Louise T. (Lord) Shepard, 84, of Worcester, died in her home on Wednesday, September 3rd after a long illness.
Mrs. Shepard is survived by her husband of 66 years Robert E. Shepard; two sons, Robert Shepard and his wife, Frances of Worcester and Michael Shepard and his wife, Christine of Worcester; four daughters, Linda Fox and her husband Bruce of Port Orange, FL, Roberta Carpenter and her husband Roger of Charlton, Deborah Berthiaume and Pamela Farkas both of Worcester; a brother Michael Lord of Worcester; his wife Mary, nephew Michael, nieces Stephanie, Katie and 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren .
Louise was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Bessie (Zink) Lord and is also predeceased by a son Christopher, a brother Frank Lord, a grandson, Jesse Berthiaume and a son in law Carl Berthiaume.
Mrs. Shepard was a founding member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Church and was a member of the Women’s Guild. She worked for many years at U Mass Memorial Hospital. After retirement she enjoyed spending winters in Port Orange, Florida but she was always most happy when she was spending time with her family.
The funeral will be held on Monday, September 8th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church 5 Spaulding St. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 2 to 5 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Louise may be made to Summit Eldercare 167 East Mountain St. Worcester, MA.
