Kenneth J. Silvia, age 78 of Fall River, passed away at home September 4, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Leontina (Mello) Silvia for 58 years, and the son of the late John Silvia and Esther (Aiken) Ferreira. Prior to retiring, Kenneth was a Tow Truck Operator for Four Square Garage & Towing, Westport and previously worked for Colonial Provisions, Boston, and for Paul’s Mobil Gas Station. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette’s Church and the former Immaculate Conception Church.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his children: JoAnn Teves of Somerset, Linda Theriault, husband Michael of Fall River, Deborah Silvia, companion Abel Silva and Kenneth Silvia, wife MaryBeth both of Westport; grandchildren: Beatrice, Brandie, & Marc Napert, Lauren & Michaela Theriault, Mandy, Nicole, & Cameron Perrault, Samantha Teves, Benjamin & Abigail Silvia; great grandchildren: Kenneth Morgera Jr., Gabriel Garcia, Kinsley & Alexis Ferreira, Madison Texeira; several nieces & nephews; and his beloved dog, Polly. Kenneth was also the brother of the late John Silvia and his wife Shirley, Donald Silvia and Shirley Miranda
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River MONDAY at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette’s Church at 9:00 A.M.
