Obituary

Edmond Garbick, 93, of Beverly, died at home, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family, on September 2, 2014.
Born in Saugus, he was the son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Samardak) Garbik, and the husband of the late Betty (Clish) Garbick.
Mr. Garbick was an honorably discharged veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II, where he received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Distinguished Unit Badge.
Before his retirement, he had been employed for 45 years as a Tool and Die Maker in the Turbine Division of the General Electric Co.
Edmond was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter.
He was a devoted father and grandfather.
He is survived by one son, Gregory E. and his wife, Gini, of Beverly; and daughter, Sherry L. Bertochi and her husband, Paul, of Tyngsboro; and two grandchildren, Christine and Michael Bertochi. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter J. Garbik; and his sister, Olga Boudreau.
ARRANGEMENTS:
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service from the Nadworny Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, on Friday, at 10 a.m., with cremation to follow. Visiting hours are Thursday, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Burial to be at a later date.
