NATICK: Claire A. (Lightfoot) Goldrick, age 77, a long time resident of Natick, died peacefully on Monday morning, September 1, 2014, surrounded by her family at Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center. She was the devoted wife of Robert D. Goldrick for 57 years.

Born in Attleboro and raised in North Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and H. Terry (Lauzon) Lightfoot. Claire was a 1954 graduate of North Attleboro High School and enjoyed a three year courtship with Bob. They were married on Easter Sunday, 1957, while he was on leave from the Army.

Bob refers to his subsequent transfer to Germany as an “18 month honeymoon,” during which he and Claire lived in a small apartment on base. After a brief stay in Framingham, the Goldrick’s settled in Natick where Claire created a warm and loving environment for their growing family. An Assistant Leader for her daughters’ Girl Scout Troops, she was a member of Saint Patrick’s Parish and active with Cursillos in Christianity in North Easton. Claire had a group of friends she would meet with monthly, had fun roller skating, and was an enthusiastic 10-pin bowler with leagues in Natick and Shrewsbury. At home, Claire was happy with her family and long line of pets, and was very particular – and successful – tending her rock garden.

She is survived by Bob; their daughters, Linda Goldrick of Natick, and Tracy Goldrick of Medway; two granddaughters, Tess V. Goldrick and Giselle R. Goldrick, both of Medway; and her sister, Shirley Boisvert of Stuart, FL. She was also the sister of the late Gloria Fulton.

Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH at 9:00a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, at 11:00a.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Claire’s memory to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, P.O. Box 808, Hudson, MA 01749-0808, or Bay State Animal Cooperative, 47 Windsor Rd., Norwood, MA 02062.
