Obituary

Worcester – Lilia A. (Delorme) Butler, of Worcester, passed away on September 1, 2014 at the Saint Francis Home after a long illness.

Mrs. Butler was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Narcisse T. and Aurore (Verner) Delorme. She is also predeceased by four sisters, Aurore Avery, Martha Roy, Beatrice Langlois and Lorraine Fontaine.

Lilia leaves her husband of 47 years, Kenneth F. Butler of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Classical High School and the former Worcester School of Business Science. Mrs. Butler was an active member of Saint Christopher Church and formerly Notre Dame des Canadiens Church.

Together with her husband they operated a specialized cleaning and restoration business in Worcester for many years.

The funeral will be held on Friday, September 5th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Christopher Church 950 West Boylston St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday, September 4th from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Lilia may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation PO Box 96280 Washington, DC 20077 or the Alzheimer’s Association 480 Pleasant Street Watertown, MA 02472.
