Charles H. Flavin, age 85, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Sunday, August 31, 2014. He was the husband of the late Wilma E. (Johnson) Flavin and is survived by his children, Jeanne Faiella and her husband Edward of Plymouth, Barbara Anderson and her husband Brian of Weymouth and Steven Flavin and his wife Teresa of Marshfield and his sister Claire Flavin of Scituate. Charley also leaves 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, William Flavin and his sister, Loraine Flavin.
Charley was born and grew up in Chelsea, lived in N. Quincy and moved to Weymouth where he lived for 46 years before living in Cardigan Nursing Home in Scituate for 4 years.
He graduated from Northeastern University, was a Vice President for Edwards and Kelcey in Boston and never missed a Patriots Game.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday, September 6 at 8:30 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St. Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be on Friday from 6 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth.
