Obituary

Richard Paul ”Lucky” Gingras, 78, of Bridgton, Maine, formerly Burlington, Massachusetts, died August 29 in the Central Maine Medical Center.
He was the husband of Isabelle Fraser- Gingras and the husband of the late Paulette Gingras.
Born in Danielson, Connecticut, September 18, 1935, the son of the late Alpherie and Angelina (Moulin) Gingras, Mr. Gingras was raised in Danielson and had lived in Burlington for many years prior to moving to Bridgton in 1995.
Mr. Gingras had worked as an industrial engineer for the Polaroid Corporation for 32 years before retiring in 1995.
Mr. Gingras served in the air force from 1953-1957 attaining the rank of Airman First Class.
Lucky was a talented woodworker and enjoyed gardening and farming.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Dan Gingras of Danvers, Eric Gingras of Tewksbury and Rene Gingras of Charlestown.
He is also survived by 4 step children.
Lucky is also survived by his siblings, Alfred Gingras and his wife Eileen of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Terry Viens and her husband Omar of Danielson, Ct., Bernice Bissonette and her husband Jean of Danielson, Ct., Irene Belisle and her husband Norman of Torrance, CA., Rose Beigler and her husband Al of Grove City, Ohio, Adeline Bissonette and her husband Leo of Willimantic , Ct., Annette Deltac and her husband Bill of Charlotte, NC., Martha Beasley and her husband Ken of Slidell, LA., and Agnes Brown and her husband Birch of Canterbury, Ct.
He was the brother of the late Donald Gingras and his wife Phyllis.
He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Friday, September 5 from the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, Walpole at 10:00.
Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
