CAREW, Glenna M. (Mahar), of Winthrop, passed away on August 31, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, at the age of 55. She was the devoted mother of Christopher P. Carew of Winthrop. Born in Boston, she is the cherished daughter of Jeanne M. (Dooley) Ciarcia and Paul J. Ciarcia of Winthrop. Dear sister of Robert C. Mahar and his wife Traci of Danvers and Paula J. Robson and her husband Sean of Winthrop. Loving aunt of Alanna M., Robert C. Jr., and John G. Mahar of Danvers and Olivia J., and Chloe M. Robson of Winthrop. Former wife of Frederick R. Carew of FL. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop, on Friday, Sept. 5, at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Cremation to follow will be private. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thurs., from 4-8pm.
