D. Ann Dyson, 78, of Quincy, passed away Sunday August 31st in the John Adams Health Care, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Homer Dyson.
Ann was born in Quincy and has been a resident for many years. She was active in the Wessagussett VFW Auxiliary in the 80’s.Ann also worked for many years at Bradlees’s in Quincy.
She is survived by her sons, , Frederick A. Norkus of Cape Cod, Richard E. Norkus and his wife Terri of Barnstable and William J. Norkus and his wife Alita, of Braintree, her grandson L CPL William J. Norkus, Jr. (USMC) of Braintree, her granddaughter Lisa J. Norkus of Douglas, her sisters Ida Vacca and her husband Lou of Carver, Joy Deree and her husband Bob of Florida, Sue Bostwick and her husband Ron of CA and Rae Mudgett of Nevada; also many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Irene Lutz.
Her services will be held on Friday September 5th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 4th from 5:00-9:00PM.
