Obituary

Worcester – Stephen R. Turner Sr. of Worcester, died on Thursday, August 28th in the UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus.

Mr. Turner is survived by his two children, Stephen Turner Jr. of Worcester and Amanda Turner of Webster; his longtime companion Miriam White and her children Thomas and Kathryn White; his two brothers, Donald Turner Jr. and his wife Jean of Northbridge, Paul Turner and his wife Joan of Webster; three sisters, Carolyn Brady and her husband Timothy of Grafton, Gayla McNally and her husband Robert of Worcester and Jayne Troy and her husband Edward of Worcester. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who are still waiting for the ice cream truck to arrive.

Stephen was born in Worcester, son of the late Donald and Catalda “Teedo” (Erti) Turner and worked for many years for both Allmerica and the Staples Corporation.

Stephen enjoyed many things in his lifetime. Some of his happiest times were spent at the ocean, boating and spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of calling hours, the family invites all who knew and loved Stephen to a celebration of life on Sunday, September 7th from 2 – 6 PM at the Worcester Lodge of Elks, 233 Mill St., Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to a charity of your choice.
