Margaret M. (Forand) Horan, 82, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at the Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehab Center with family by her side. She was the widow of William T. Horan, Sr., (2001) to whom she was married for 46 years. She leaves a son and 2 daughters, William T. Horan and his partner, Maria Biscardi-Roche, Mary Lahey, and Therese Farr and her husband, Kevin; and 5 beloved grandchildren: Caitlin, Patrick, Matthew, Colleen, and Kevin Jr.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Margaret E. (McManus) and Joseph P. Forand. Margaret was a graduate of Ascension High School and Salter Secretarial School. She worked for the Worcester School Department and enjoyed her crossing guard job at the Thorndyke Road School. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Holy Trinity for their compassionate care of Margaret.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from Nordgren's with a 10am Mass at St. Mary's Church, Shrewsbury. Burial follows in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
