REED - Francis Thomas "Tommy" Reed, Jr., 62, passed away Tuesday morning, August 26, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
Tommy was born December 2, 1951 and was a life-long resident of Jacksonville, FL. He was involved with the Pine Castle organization for most of his life. Tommy was employed by Toy R Us for over 15 years. He was a member First Baptist Church of Jacksonville where he also attended Sunday School.
He is survived by his brother, Kenny Reed; other family members, Jennifer Reed, Prudence Deveaux, and Jason Reed; and his girl friend of many years, Jo Ann Moore.
A memorial service honoring and celebrating Tommy's life will be held Friday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Downtown Jacksonville.
Since Tommy was involved with Pine Castle most of his life, the family suggest in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Pine Castle, an organization that educates and assists persons with disabilities in many ways.
