Lucille Monfette 86, formerly of Pond St., died Wednesday at The Holiday Retirement Home. She was the wife of the late Albert Monfette. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Rondeau) Lafontaine. Lucille was a seamstress for Woonsocket Dress for many years. She was a member of the Royal Travelers, St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, and the Parkview Social Club.
Lucille is survived by her children, George and Donald Monfette both of Woonsocket, Suzanne Dombkowski of Blackstone, and Pauline Lussier of Woonsocket, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert Monfette and sister of the late Alfred “Blackie” Lafontaine, Irene Deslauriers, and Therese Dubois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
