John J. Halloran age 86 formerly of Canton, of N. Andover passed away at home surrounded by his loving family August 28th. Born and raised in Somerville, he graduated from Somerville High School and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a Mechanic for Cutler Volkswagon in Weymouth and later as a mechanic for the Town of Needham School Department before retiring. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan and especially loved the Bruins. Beloved husband of the late Margaret A. (LaBombard). Father of Jack Halloran of CT, Mary Ann Cummings & her husband Dan of N. Andover & Jean Schmiedel & her husband Paul of N. Andover. He was predeceased by 5 sisters and 1 brother. Grandfather of Emily Cummings & Colleen Schmiedel. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Wednesday morning September 3rd at 10:30. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veteran’s Service Department 801 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021. | |||||
