Alan K. Venus, 63, of Windham, NH died at his home on Tues., August 26th.
Alan was born in Albany, NY the son of the late Anna (Reinemann) and Karl Venus. He grew up in New York and he was a resident of Windham, New Hampshire for the last thirty years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Joseph’s College in Indiana. Alan was a public insurance adjuster and owned and operated Alan Venus and Associates. He was a member of the National Assoc. of Public Insurance Adjusters, the Mass. Assoc. of Public Insurance Adjusters, and BNI Commonwealth.
Alan enjoyed boating and fishing, woodworking, gardening and he was an avid New England Patriots fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two children.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen (Lamb) Venus of Windham; his children, Matthew Venus of Boston, MA and Shelley Venus of NYC, NY; his sister, Sharon Giacomini-O’Neil and brother-in-law Tom O’Neil of Naples, FL, and his nieces, Tracy Giacomini of Edgartown, MA and Carrie White of Naples, FL.
Memorial visitation will be Monday, Sept. 1st from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Matthew’s Parish, Windham.
