Obituary

Imelda E. LeBlanc, 91 formerly of Derry, NH died Tuesday August 26, 2014 in the Laurel Center, Bedford, NH. Ms. LeBlanc was born in Derry, NH on October 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Archie and Yvonne (Gamache) LaPorte. She was a lifelong resident of Derry where she lived for over 50 years on Howard Street. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry Class of 1940, and later worked many years for Hadco Corp. and Bill’s Buy-Rite, both in Derry. She was a former communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry, a talented seamstress, and enjoyed scrap booking and especially caring for her home and her children.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan Barnard of Windham, NH, Karen Hickey and Annette Hoover both of Manchester, NH, five sons, Raymond LeBlanc of Greer, SC, Ronald LeBlanc of Chester, NH, Randall LeBlanc of Hooksett, NH, Robert LeBlanc of Sandown, NH, and Richard LeBlanc of Titusville, FL, 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were Tuesday September 2, 2014 from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
