Elaine Catherine (Looney) Cappiello, age 73, of Dighton, passed peacefully August 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by family following a lengthy battle with Cancer. She was the wife of the late David M. Cappiello. Born in Weymouth and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Virginia (Barteaux) Looney. For many years Elaine worked in retail in Brockton, Cape Cod and Taunton.
Elaine is survived by five sons, David and his wife Sulley of Brockton, Michael and his wife Vicki of Dighton, Joseph and his wife Shelley of Brockton, Paul of Wareham and Steven of Brockton; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two brothers Fredrick Looney and his wife Nancy of Rhode Island and William “Mickey” Looney and his wife Paula of Cape Cod. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Family services will be private.
