Maurice J. Page, 101, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Lawrence, MA, Maurice was educated in the Lawrence School System. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran having served during World War II. When Maurice and his late brother Gerard got out of the Marine Corps, they opened Page's Sandwich Shop on Jackson Street in Methuen. They then opened Page Brothers Restaurant in Hampton Beach, NH. After the restaurants closed, Maurice opened up an ear piercing business in Manchester, NH and then Salem, NH. His true passion was growing tomatoes.
The widower of Dorothy (Levesque) Page, Maurice was predeceased by his brothers: Adrien Page, Roland Page, Rene Page, Gerard Page and Albert Page as well as his sister: Annette Page. He is survived by two sister-in-laws: Anna Page and Shirley Page as well as three generations of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 7:30 to 8:30 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. A Funeral Mass take place at 9:00 A.M. in St. Lucy's Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen, MA. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
