Lillian J. Doherty, 91 of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday August 25, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston, MA on August 19, 1923 a daughter of the late James and Elaine (McSweeney) Goslin. Mrs. Doherty was the widow of Richard J. Doherty, who passed away in 2005, and by her son, Richard Doherty.
Survivors include ; one son, Michael ( Valerie) Doherty of Weymouth, MA, one daughter, Elaine (Gerard) Kraus of Derry, NH, also three grandchildren, Danielle and her husband Michael, Shawn and Diana; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brenna and Connor, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lillian loved spending time with her family and was retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain after many years of service.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury, MA.
