John Miele passed away peacefully at the Don Orione Home of East Boston. He was 101 years old.

Raised in Cambridge and Somerville John lived in Medford for many years. He was a hard working man who owned and operated his own business until his retirement, Morissey Furniture on Portland Street at Boston’s North Station. John was devoted to his family, enjoyed time in Florida and was a talented singer.


The beloved husband of the late Josephine (Spirito), he was a devoted father to Marianne Dugas of Medford and her late husband John, Atty. John S. Miele and his wife Doreen of Medford. He leaves his loving grandchildren: Philip and his wife Debbie, Stephen and his wife Connie and Michael Dugas; John Miele and his wife Stacia, Rebecca Anoli and her husband Michael, Lara Miele and her fiancé Nicole Golenski. John is also lovingly survived by seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He was a dear brother to Francis Miele, the late Ann Fucci, Louis, Joseph, Gus and Ben Miele and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, August 26th from 9 through 10 AM with a funeral service in the funeral home at 10 AM concluding with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
