MSGT. DONNIE E. VESSELS, USAF (Ret.), 86, passed away on August 24, 2014.
Donnie was proud to be a retired veteran from the U. S. Air Force and U. S. Navy, having served in WW II, Korea and Vietnam, was a retired employee of Bell South, a member of the Air Force Sergeants Assoc., and a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Vessels and daughter Tommie Farrell.
Survivors include his children, Larry L. McKinney, Steve Vessels (Jodi), Kerry D. Vessels and Kenneth R. Vessels; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday
