Worcester - Grace E. (Svedin) Carlson, 84, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014, peacefully at home. She was born in Worcester in 1930, daughter of Elsa (Carlson) and Eric J. Svedin. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Norman L. Carlson (d. 2009), her daughter, Ruth (d. 2002), and a brother, Roy. She leaves three sons, David and his wife Arlene, Michael, and John; a daughter, Sharon; a brother, Harold Svedin; 9 grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Eric, Christopher, Colin, Joseph, Marc, Derek, and Alek; and a great-grandson, Tyler. Grace was a graduate of Girls Trade School. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family as well as pointing, crewel stitching, and morning puzzles. Graces family thanks "The girls" for the compassionate care provided to their mother throughout her illness.
