Lynda Rosier Hand
Augusta, GA – Lynda Rosier Hand, entered into rest Saturday, August 23, 2014 at home on Rosier Hill surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Hand was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She retired from the Richmond County Recreation and Parks Department. She was an officer in the R.R.R. She was awarded “the Richmond County Homemaker of the Year”, as well as “State Homemaker of the Year” by the Home Demonstration Club. Lynda was actively involved with the youth in our community. She served as a board member of the Richmond County 4-H volunteer leader association, coached the first soccer teams in Richmond County and was presented the Cross and Flame award by the scouting ministry of BMUMC. Mrs. Hand was a member of the Richmond County Wildlife Association and the Red Hat Club. She was past editor of the Richmond County Times. She was a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. Lynda's passion was her family. She was the family coordinator for all activities. Her favorite times were spent at the beach and other family events at Bubba Lake. Her wit, wisdom and laughter will be missed. Lynda loved you first!
Family members include son: Garry Fulcher, Jr. and wife Erin; daughter: Theresa L. Dudley and husband Bobby; grandchildren: Lindsey Grimes, Megan Dudley, Garry P. Fulcher III and Dale Fulcher; sisters: Marin R. Stewart and husband Gene, DeLois R. Usry (the late Pat), and Binkie R. James and husband Dannie; brother: Sylvester L. Rosier, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Sylvester and Gladys Rosier; sisters: Christie Murphy and Millie Harris; and brother: T.C. Rosier.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at Burns Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Peele and Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosier family section at Magnolia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rick Murphy, Jerry Murphy, Tommy Harris, Johnny Stewart, Wayne Usry, Dr. Steven Usry, Wesley Usry, Dan James Jr., Syl Rosier III, Jared Rosier, Mandy Lowe, Ronda Lundquist, Kathy Mura, Suzanna Makowski, Elizabeth Beckett, Lori Usry, Chris Murphy, Lynn Church and Rhonda Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Harris, Ed Howerton, and Roy Searles.
