Obituary

William “Bill” Edward LaBreck, of Plymouth formerly of Quincy, died on August 20th at Beth Israel – Plymouth (Jordan Hospital) at the age of 76. He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah (Marsh) LaBreck of Plymouth and his son Todd LaBreck of Mansfield and Plymouth.

Bill was born and raised in Quincy, son of the late Ernest and Mary (Crooker) LaBreck. He moved to Manomet when he was 14 and graduated from Plymouth High. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was a charter member of the John Alden Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking and gardening. He was known for his family roast beef recipe served at fund raising dinners for the 2nd Church of Plymouth and the John Alden Sportsman Club. He assisted in clam bake fundraisers for the previously mentioned organizations. Many people knew Bill for his willingness to prepare lunches for senior citizens sponsored by the John Alden Sportsman Club. During the 1970’s and 80’s he drove a school bus. He then worked for Browning-Ferris Industries in their Regional Office in maintenance and security, retiring in 1997.

A visiting hour will be held on Monday, August 25th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 10 to 11 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the 2nd Church of Plymouth, P.O Box 1754, Manomet, MA 02345.
