Susan E. (Macedo) Smith, 62, of New Bedford died Tuesday August 19, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Bravo) Macedo.
Mrs. Smith was formerly employed as an accounts receivable clerk for Titleist.
She attended many area churches and Our Lady's Chapel, and was a lector at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She loved to play golf and enjoyed playing cards at the Acushnet Council on Aging.
She is survived by her three children, Chris Smith, Kelly Dias, and David Smith, all of New Bedford; a brother, Jack Macedo and his wife Susan of Wareham; a sister, Laurie Fernandes and her husband Robert of Acushnet; two grandsons, Tyler Matthew Barbosa and Christian Joseph Barbosa; her special friend, Donald Monteiro of New Bedford; and a niece and two nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
