Edson A. Ramos, 32, of New Bedford died August 17, 2014.
Born in St. Vincente, Cape Verde, the son of Filomena Andrade of Cape Verde and Orlando Ramos and his wife Julia of New Bedford, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Edson was formerly employed by Heat Transfer Products and Stop & Shop.
He enjoyed working on cars.
Survivors include his parents; 2 sons, Justin Ramos and Rashad Ramos, both of New Bedford; a daughter, Aaliyah Ramos of Fall River; 7 brothers, Amilton Ramos of St. Vincente, Cape Verde, Hercules Ramos of North Carolina, Gilson A. Ramos, Gilson S. Ramos, Joshua Ramos and Cameron Ramos, all of New Bedford and Justin Ramos of Quincy; a sister, Irlanda Miranda of New Bedford; his paternal grandparents, Olavo and Iracema Ramos, both of New Bedford; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, August 22nd at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours Thursday, August 21st from 4-8 PM.
