VENTURA
John A. Maclean Jr., 73, of Ventura, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
John was born April 8, 1941 in New York, New York and came to Ventura County when he was one year old. He attended Ventura High School and Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict
he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ventura Post 1679, He was a mechanic for 15 years working at Clairol, in Camarillo prior to his retirement.
John was ham radio operator and an avid car fan. He enjoyed drag racing and he was a hot rod
enthusiast.
John is survived by his wife Shirley (Jones) Maclean, Son and Daughter in law Robert and Chris Maclean, of
Ventura, Daughter and son in law Lynn and Sean Laird of Idaho, Grandchildren: Jamey Yeager,
Taylor Maclean, Zack Laird, Cody Laird, Tatum Maggiore, and Blake Maclean. Nephew Bob
Henderson. He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Maclean,a sister Marla Henderson and parents Rosina B Smith and John A. Maclean, Sr.
Family and Friends are invited to Funeral Services 11AM Friday August 22, 2014 at the family owned JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, California 643 - 8623. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
