Obituary

Alice E. (Baker) Olsen of Natick passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Eliot Nursing Home in Natick. She was eighty-four years old.

Born and raised in South Boston on February 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Alice E. (Shannon) Baker.

She was the devoted wife of the late John L. Olsen Sr. They were married in 1950 and shared forty-six years of marriage.

Alice was a resident of Natick since 1953 and a homemaker for her twelve children. She loved being a mother and enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She attended the School of Fashion Design in Boston, enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, road trips to Vermont and Nova Scotia and the Boston Red Sox.

She was the loving mother of Valerie Collins and her husband Jim of AZ, Laureen Fisher and her husband Jim of Natick, John L. Olsen, Jr. and his wife Patty of Maine, Cheryl Ebeling and her husband Al of Framingham, Pamela Whitelaw and her husband Patric of Marlboro, Kenneth Olsen and his wife Jacqui of Medway, Lawrence Olsen of Maine, Erik Olsen and his wife Tracey of S. Grafton, Leigh Olsen of Natick, Jennifer Gerard and her husband Brian of Medway, Marc Olsen and his wife Nicole of W. Boylston and the late Alyse Ferguson and her husband Don of Brighton.

Cherished grandmother of twenty-seven and great grandmother of ten.

Caring sister of Kenneth G. Baker of Scituate and the late Robert Baker, Helen Stone, Joseph Baker and William Baker.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral Will be held from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Thursday, August 21st at 10:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 11:00AM.

Relatives and friends respectfully invited.

Visiting hours from 5:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, August 20th in the funeral home. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick.
