FRAMINGHAM: Juanita (Ortiz Valdez) Morales, age 59, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died after a bravely fought illness, on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Lahey Health and Medical Center of Burlington.
She was the devoted wife of the late Hector Morales.
Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Pilar Ortiz and Pablo Valdez. Raised and educated in Guayama, Juana settled in Framingham in 1978.
She created a warm and loving home for her family wherever she lived, her sons and their growing families were always the focal point of her life.
She is survived by her sons, Hector F. Morales of Framingham, Hector J. Morales of Billerica, and Henry L. Morales and his wife Mery Rosario of Framingham;
her sisters, Gloria Contrares, Mercedes Ortiz Valdez, Silvia Diaz, Ursula Ortiz Valdez, and Cecelia Martinez, all of Framingham;
ten grandchildren, Anthony, Brandon, Henry, Chris, Jocelyn, Jonathan, Anthony, Tito, Julian, and Jose; a great-granddaughter, Yasmarie and a large and loving extended family and her longtime boyfriend Rey Gonzalez of Framingham.
She was also the sister of 13 deceased siblings.
Her graveside service will proceed from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Thursday, Aug. 21st at 11:15A.M with a graveside service at Dell Park Cemetery, 180 Pond Street, Natick, at 11:30A.M.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, August 20th in the funeral home from 4:00 – 7:00P.M.
