Obituary

Arthur Earl McGrath of East Falmouth and formerly of Natick passed away after a long illness on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his residence surrounded by family. He was seventy-four years old.

Beloved son of the late John H. and Louisa (Giovanella) McGrath, he was born and raised in Natick.

He joined the United States Marine Corp and served our country proudly from 1957 to 1960.

He was the devoted husband of Sharon A. (Cooney) McGrath of East Falmouth and together they shared forty-seven years of marriage.

He owned and operated the Art of Wall Covering in Natick for over thirty years.

Mr. McGrath was the loving father of Renee Baldini and her husband James of Milford, Erin McGrath of East Falmouth and the late Robin (McGrath) Carroll and her late husband Mark Carroll.

Cherished grandfather of Michael Robert Leger of Franklin and Ryan Patrick Farrell of East Falmouth.

Caring brother of John McGrath and his wife Joan of California and the late Robert McGrath and his wife Jeannie of Framingham.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and great nephews.

Arthur loved the ocean, his garden, all things Cape Cod and animals, especially his dogs and that is why he was referred to as the “Dog Whisperer.”

He was a great friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Service in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.

Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-7:00PM.

Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with Military Honors Friday at 2:15PM.
